Nueva versión 3 de software para 2250, 2250 Light y 2270

Version 3 of the Types 2250 and 2270 application software marks another milestone in the development of the 2250 family of hand-held analyzers. This latest release offers a major advancement for the analyzer range with new features and enhancements in almost every application module for all 2250 models, including Type 2250 Light, 2250-M, 2250 and the dual-channel 2270.

For existing users of the above instrument models, an application software upgrade is now available to allow your instrument to be upgraded to Version 3 and for you, the user, to benefit from the new and improved functionality.

New Features
> CF Wireless LAN
> Broadband Internet communication
> New measurement parameters
> Perform microphone signal integrity checks
> Advanced multi-level and timer-based event triggers
> Support of SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity)

  • CF Wireless LAN connectivity makes it possible to synchronise measurement and setup data with a host PC when wireless communication is more convenient. Full remote control of one or a number of instruments simultaneously is also possible using an ‘On-Line’ instrument mimic. The WLAN facility conforms to the IEEE 802.11a/b/g standard and boasts an up to 100m indoor communication range.

CF Wireless LAN

  • Broadband Internet communication with Types 2250 Light, 2250 and 2270 allows operation through routers and firewalls with all the usual security protocols. The Type 2250 family of instruments with their support of IP addressing are ideally suited to take full advantage of the new age of mobile broadband communication using 3G, EDGE or GPRS technologies. For remote monitoring and instrument control, mobile broadband offers speed, price and coverage benefits over the now ageing GSM technology.

  • New measurement parameters – Loudness (ISO532B), Noise Rating (NR), Noise Criteria (NC & NCB) and Room Criteria (RC) - All as part of the Frequency Analysis module, allow assessment of product and ambient noise levels with a single figure index where applicable, directly to common standards. Display of the NR or NC curves and the reporting of the decisive bands are also included in the new functionality.

  • Perform microphone signal integrity checks utilising the Brüel & Kjær patented Charge Injection Calibration (CIC) technique for times when acoustical calibration is not available. A CIC check can be programmed to automatically check the measurement system up to four times a day to ensure no change in microphone sensitivity or measurement system change has occurred undetected. The result is recorded as ‘passed’ or ‘out of specification’ or is even reported when the background noise is too high.

  • Advanced multi-level and timer-based event triggers and recordings can now be performed with the enhanced logging application. Up to four level triggers can be defined for four periods throughout the day to allow for example a 65dB level trigger during the day and 35dB level trigger at night. Trigger conditions based on user specified octave or third-octave components can also be defined allowing, for example, a sound recording to be initiated by a 125 Hz third-octave level of 72dB, designed to identify intrusive bass content from loud music.

  • Support of SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) memory cards complying with the new SD 2.0 standard, offering up to 32 GB of removable data storage. This enables very long signal recordings and measurement profiles to be performed. Note, existing users of any 2250 or 2270 model can avail of this enormous storage capability by simply upgrading their application software to the latest Version 3 release. No hardware modification is required.
