Beamforming has become one of the hot new techniques in the world of acoustics. Being able to map the sound pressure of a large product (planes, trains, automobiles) with just one array with just one 30 second measurement is an incredibly powerful tool. With the Brüel & Kjær PULSE system, you can make those sound pressure maps quickly and easily as promised, in just seconds. On top of that, with PULSE 14, you can make Beamforming measurements on stationary sound sources (car in a wind tunnel, engine at idle) as well as transient sound sources (vehicle pass-by, aircraft flyover, engine runups, etc.).
