PULSE Production Testing

PULSE has proven itself to be exceptionally well suited to automated sound or vibration production line testing due to a combination of factors, amongst them:

  • Being a native Windows NT® solution
  • Having a well documented, extensive OLE interface
  • Being capable of multi-analysis
  • Possessing both scalable channel count and processing power

The well documented OLE-interface makes it easy to control the powerful analyzers and functionality of PULSE via a program written in any of the common languages that support OLE automation such as Visual Basic®, Visual C++®, Delphi® and later versions of Java™. PULSE also supports DCOM components for an even tighter integration and faster response.

Multi-analysis allows you to run analyzers of the same or different types (Overall noise levels, FFT, CPB, Zwicker Loudness, Order, Cepstrum, etc.), on one or several signals simultaneously. This unique feature allows several production lines to be covered by a single PULSE system, reducing the cost and raising the reliability of the whole system.

Multi-analysis is no use if the system doesn't have the flexibility to take advantage of it. PULSE's scalable channel count means that you can configure the system hardware exactly to your measurement needs. The key to short measurement cycle times is powerful real-time digital signal processing (DSP) performance. With PULSE you can set your own limits, choosing as much or as little DSP power as you want.
